Its Happening...

No, I am not counting down days at all. Not me.  But if you really are dying to know, I have 5 weeks of college left!!!  Not just 5 weeks, but 5 weeks and 4 days, and as of right now 6 hours.  Actually, I made up that last part.
The only scary part about this is packing up my room.  I like my stuff, but it won't all fit into a place for 3 months.
I heard this really good joke, that I also want to share.  What is the hardest part of a vegetable to eat??  Guess!  Actually,  you will have to scroll to the bottom of this post.  I can't tell you right away, because I might be looked down upon... more than usual.

Here are some more funny things I was thinking about...

1.  Is there another word for synonym?
2. What is the probability that something will happen according to the odds?
3.  When companies ship Styrofoam, what do they pack it in?
4.  Life is hard compared to what?
5.  Why isn't there mouse flavored cat food?
6.  Is it possible to be totally partial?
7.  Would a fly without wings be called a walk?
8.  Is there another word for thesaurus?
9.  If stupidity can get you into a mess, then why can't it get you out?
10.  If a cluttered desk is characterisitic of a cluttered mind, what does an empty desk mean?
12.  Why are they called buildings, when they are already finished?  Shouldn't they be called builts?
13.  Why do psychics have to ask you for your name?

As for the joke:   The answer is  The wheelchair...obviously.

Here is a video of me skiing.  Yep that's me, and my professor is filming.  And, the girl that you see skiing down is my friend Kenzie.

I feel like this was faster than it looks.  Maybe next time I can ask if we can go faster...

Next week...kayaking.
After I finish all my homework, of course.

Pictures For your Viewing Enjoyment

My Life...

actually this was last semester, but I don't think anyone really minds.
.
Right now I am not working on the Mandolin right now, but instead this awesome gift I got from my sister Melanie.  Gifts= lots and lots of lub, in my world.  She says I have to learn to be proficient, like this guy... maybe not that good....

I also went to california and found my two dream cars!

A very very very long car ride wouldn't be complete without cheezit scrabble.  And the sad face is because I didn't fit in the phone booth.
And I discovered I love roller coasters A LOT!! (I might have ridden it 6 times in a row)

Go GC!

Can I just say I love General Conferance? I have found the perfect analogy. General Conferance, is like Red Bull. It gives you wings.

I always try and look for themes and such when I listen. I think the big topic was service and reactivation. Basically, we need to get off our bums and go to work. Too bad I have a lazy bum!

What I find so hard about General Conferance is, I feel like yeah lets go! We love our prophets! The Church is true! Jesus Lives! Amen! (hey thats my middle name) But I still don't do anything about it...*sigh*... maybe next time.

Favorite moments:

The kid who stood up and smiled at the camera on accident. I laughed a lot.

"Occasionally discouragement may darken our pathway; frustration may be a constant companion.. “Be not weary in well-doing. … Out of small things proceedeth that which is great.” President Thomas S. Monson (I was waiting for the small helm moment here but...alas...)

“It seems to me that you are so concentrated on finding the nuggets that you overlook the many precious simple flecks that you have here
" - M. Russell Ballard

"In the end, the number of prayers we say may contribute to our happiness, but the number of prayers we answer may be of greater importance. Let us open our eyes and see the heavy hearts, notice the loneliness and despair; let us feel the silent prayers of others around us; and let us be an instrument in the hands of the Lord to answer those prayers." ~Dieter F. Uchtdorf

"In fact, I bet there are some out there right now texting 'Pres. Uchtdorf has been talking for 10 minutes now, and still no aviation analogy ...'"
Preach the gospel at all time, and if necessary, use words. -St. Francis
I know there was more...but go ahead, comment, share your ideas of the themes or quotes or something. Comments equal love dontcha know.

Pondering

I sometimes get a little terrified of the prospect of not always having classes, having to learn, and get stuff done with a deadline. I suppose as my 21st birthday comes more quickly than I would like, I start thinking about where I want to be. There are so many options, and I know that I have a plan, but maybe that's not what I REALLY want to do. But, the point of this post, is that I am also trying to be a little more......responsible for my future. Shocker, I know! I actually, literally, went into the high school, and talked to the principal (who happened to be my adviser then, as well as my brothers) about how to get hired, after I graduate. It was weird. She said the best way is to do your student teaching here. The only problem with that is that at BYUI, you don't really get to choose where you go, and that if a school asks for you, you definitely will not go there. At least, that's what everyone says.

Maybe I could pull the handicapped card?

Old update

I wish I had something very exciting to write about but I don't, so I thought I would just put in some pictures that I have laying around. Halloween etc.

This is my quartet. We spend some sundays playing hymns in the Gardens, but now it is too cold. The best time to go shopping in Walmart, is Halloween. You find the weirdest stuff.

Halloween pictures of us putting cobwebs outside our apartment. We even put dead leaves on it to make it look more realistic. Anyways, I apologize that this is not a very exciting post.

Trip

I figure its about time I put up my pictures from Canada, so here you go. It isn't all of them, but I think it is enough. The picture of the hockey game we went to wouldn't cooperate, but you know that you can't go to Canada without going to at least one hockey game.

The pictures so far are of the 5AM trying to leave, and dinner at 5 guys in Montana and then entering B.C. and Heather sleeping on her bed from England so we were told. The hotel guy brought us Cuban chocolate. We were very happy. That is a train station car inside redone.

Elise and I at the train museum found a safe...

Elise is getting away...yeah, we are pretty silly...

There's a jellyfish and some pictures of Vancouver. And the one below is the first time I saw the ocean! There was some clam still in the shell.
This is the columbia river and over here is Vancouver
